An Empties post

A little while ago I finished my favourite cleanser off and stopped myself from throwing it away, I’ve done this each time I’ve got to the end of a product over the last six weeks and thought I’d write and empties post. These are one of my favourite YouTube videos (alongside Primark hauls, personal style videos, closet tours and what’s in my bag videos).

Body Shop Wild Argon Oil

This has lasted me about a year, I had a slightly tricky start with this product ,that I bought primarily as a hair product, finding it could make my hair very greasy if I used too much. I quickly established that two pumps was enough to help my hair feel smooth and soft.
I love this product as I can apply the excess to my arms or décolletage and it absorbs just as quickly and is very lightly moisturising. I’ve been using another balm in the interim but as I write about this product I’m missing this so much I think a repurchase may be required…

Soap and Glory: Sugar Crush Body Scrub

dsc_6740.jpg
I’m not the biggest body scrub fan, and this one has been with me a long while. But the gorgeous scent of this manual scrub had me reaching for it constantly in the summer months (to get rid of that pesky SPF).

Soap and Glory: Peaches and Clean

Another favourite cleanser, this face milk is gentle and very thorough at removing dirt and make up. I love this because it removed eye makeup without stinging, feels lovely, is gentle on my skin and smells INCREDIBLE.

Garner Micellar Water

dsc_6743.jpg
This was my second attempt at a Micellar water and I love it. It’s ideal for lazy makeup removal, or as part of a double cleanse when you have a bit more time. Gentle, non astringent with no real fragrance, this is an easy favourite.
dsc_6744.jpgL’Oreal Micellar Water
This was my first Micellar water, I finished it just before the Garnier above. This was a perfectly adequate Micellar water but the Garnier has been repurchased (in the small size) twice since.

L’Oreal Miracle Cleansing Oil

This is probably my favourite cleanser, alongside Lush’s Ultrabland. This oil applied on dry skin sinks in and breaks down your makeup, and when you add water it foams up to thoroughly cleanse and clean. I love this product. I will be repurchasing this, when a time arises!

No7 Early Defense Night Cream

I treated myself to this night crew back in March, I wanted something to work into my routine that agreed for younger skin. This product feels cooling as you applying, moisturises the skin without feeling greasy and was a little luxury at the end of each day. I haven’t repurchased this, but it’s definelty a on my future shopping list.
Now I look back on this, it’s a very skincare heavy empties!
Have you used many of these products? What are your favourite bits?

The Makeup I Reach For When I’m On Auto Pilot In The Mornings

I work in an office full time, and as the anethisus of a morning person, my alarm goes off just after six every morning so I can guarantee I won’t miss my bus to work every morning. (I also catch a bus earlier than I need to, but that more to do with enjoying a quiet office).

Claires Accessories Make Up Bag

I tend to carry this (adoreable) small ish makeup bag around everyday, and parr back so I have only what I really need in it. Some of these products I’ve used since I was eighteen and some are brand new.

image
Products (Left to Right) : Rimmel Clear Complextion Clarifying Powder, Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner, Maybeline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer.

These are my base products, the Dream Matte Mousse I tend to swing in and out if rotation because it drys out my skin, but I love the finish and the longevity but I can’t use it for too extended a period of time. The Rimmel Powder is new, with powders I tend to buy the cheapest that’s a closest match to my skin tone. Sometimes this back fires on me, but this powder is doing the job.

The concealer are my go to’s, the Collection is a cult favourite for its high pigmentation and creamy consistency. It is amazing for spot treatments and keeping my chin from getting obviously oily. The Rimmel on the otherhand is the best most dewy under eye concealer.

And the Rimmel Liquid Liner? I’ve been using it since I was 18, lovely smooth consistency with a very fine brush. I hate felt tip liners, I can never get a fine or clean line with them. I find them so clumpy and messy, I constantly repurchase this liner.

Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil

This is my second purchase, I love how find the pencil is and how natural a brow I can create. It also has a spooly on the end for brushing your brows, it is everything you need for your brows in one tidy slim package.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

These two have very different colours and finishes. The lipliner has a very matte finish, which gives a natural pinky colour, it was a recommendation from my friend Hannah from Tea In My Wardrobe and has been one of my favourites to date. A pinky your lips but better colour. The Colour Burst Lip Butter gives the nicest most summery colour. It’s an orange, but a very subtle orange that really warms up your skin tone.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara

And the creme de la creme, Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara. I know people complain about how difficult this is to remove but I’ve found the perfect cleanser that removes this like a dream. It gives me the best most open eyed look, one coat looks natural and lovely and building it up gives a dramatic evening look.

Anyway those are my auto pilot products, I can apply them without thinking in the morning and know that they are all I ever need to look pulled together and ready to take on the world. I can even apply them on the bus if I’ve managed to oversleep. What are your products? Do you also love these, or do you have something better you have to share with me? Please do, I know what to swatch next time I’m in Boots!

(We’re pretty new as a blog so this should go without saying, but I purchased all these products myself. This is not a sponsored post)
